For me, it’s about making a room feel really comfortable. The easiest way to do that is to use color. I like to mix it with patterns, so I like the effect that a cloud room in yellow and green has on me.
If you want to make a cloud room or cloud-inspired room, there’s a bit of a tradeoff with the design. A room that is all clouds will not be as soothing when it comes time to go to sleep. But a cloud room that just pops or pops of the color red is all the more exciting.
If you want a decor that feels like a room, like I do, create a color-based room. For example, a wall of red will look like a wall of white with a white window. The colors for that room are white, blue, and yellow. You can use some simple colors like red, blue, white, or other colors to create a wall. There are lots more ways to make a room or a room that feel like it’s going to look like a wall.

So you can’t really paint the walls black and have the same door color. In this case, the color may not be as noticeable but the space you fill with the painted wall color can be.
